Amazon Inspirations

Pagliacci/Suor Angelica
This is the weekend you've been waiting for ... the Florida Grand Opera starts its 2009-2010 season with a double bill. Leoncavallo's Pagliacci examines if life imitates art, or if it's the other way around. The second opera on the bill is Puccini's Suor Angelica. Blithe Spirit
Noel Coward's comic play Blithe Spirit has one more weekend at Florida International University. The main character Charles is a remarried widower that decides to invite a clairvoyant to his house for a seance, hoping to get ideas for his new novel. Blithe Spirit closes this weekend at the Wertheim Auditorium, Florida International University, fiu.edu.

Stars on Broadway
Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra presents Stars on Broadway, the opening concert in the 2009-2010 season. Excerpts from popular Broadway shows will be performed, including Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, My Fair Lady and West Side Story, among others. Music starts at 7:30 on Saturday evening at the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center and again on Sunday at 7:30 at the Lincoln Theater in Miami.
